  • Palmolein comes from fractionating palm oil. Fractionating is a technique by which a fat is separated into several parts (fractions). Palm stearin is the solid component that is released during the fractionating process. The substance has a melting point of 53 degrees Celsius.
  • Stearin is mainly used in the food and candle industries.
